Information We Collect
Information From Candidates
When a candidate registers for matchAmint, we collect:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- General location
We also collect job-related preferences you choose to provide, such as pay expectations, distance willing to travel, availability, and similar criteria used for job matching.
Candidates may choose to complete a profile at any time. If completed, we may collect additional information, including:
- Employment history
- Education history
- Skills, certifications, or licenses
- A resume or other documents you voluntarily upload
Some information is optional but providing it may improve job matching and visibility to employers.
By entering information or uploading documents, you agree that your data may be processed for job-matching and application purposes.
Information From Employers
When an employer creates an account, we collect:
- Full name
- Email address
As part of completing an employer profile, we may also collect:
- Phone number
- Location
- Company name
- Company address
- Company website
- Company description
When employers create job postings, we collect job-related details such as job title, description, pay information, and job location.
Marketing Communications
matchAmint offers candidates and employers the opportunity to receive marketing communications, including:
- Email newsletters
- SMS or phone updates regarding job opportunities or platform updates
Consent is required to receive these communications. You may choose to opt in during account registration or in your profile settings.
Opting out:
You may withdraw consent at any time.
- To unsubscribe from emails, click the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email.
- To stop receiving SMS/phone communications, reply "STOP" to the message or adjust your preferences in your profile.
Even if you opt out of marketing communications, matchAmint will still send you transactional messages related to your account, job applications, or legally required notices.
Your consent and preferences will be respected, and withdrawing consent will not affect your use of matchAmint services.
How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Operate and maintain the matchAmint platform
- Connect candidates with relevant job opportunities
- Allow employers to review applications and candidate profiles
- Communicate with users about their accounts, applications, or platform updates
- Improve platform functionality and user experience
- Meet legal and regulatory requirements
matchAmint does not sell personal information.
How Information Is Shared
Candidate information may be shared with employers when a candidate applies for a job or chooses to make their profile visible.
Employer information and job postings may be displayed to candidates using the platform.
Uploaded resumes and personal documents are not publicly posted. However, information you include in your resume may be used to create your candidate profile, which could be visible to employers and other authorized users of the platform. We do not share your full documents with the public.
matchAmint may also share information with trusted third-party service providers, such as cloud hosting providers, but only as necessary to operate and maintain the platform.
While uploaded documents are not made public by default, any information that users choose to make public or share with employers is the responsibility of the user. matchAmint cannot control third-party use of public information and is not liable for any actions taken by others based on that information.
Data Storage and Retention
Personal information is stored in a secure, cloud-based environment hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Data submitted through the website is transmitted securely and stored in a PostgreSQL database on protected servers. Access is limited to authorized system services and personnel.
We retain personal data only for as long as it is reasonably necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes.
Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to safeguard personal information, including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS)
- Role-based access controls
- Protections against common web security risks, such as unauthorized access and injection attacks
- Validation and sanitization of user inputs
- API rate limiting and monitoring
Access to personal data is restricted to authorized users and system processes.
